Monday.com to GoCardless Integration

Payment links are created instantly and attached automatically to each invoice. The invoicing process is now uninterrupted, admin time is reduced, and every invoice includes the correct payment link without logging into GoCardless.

Project Overview

The client was creating invoices in monday.com but had to pause the process to manually generate payment links in GoCardless. For every invoice, she logged into GoCardless, created a custom payment link, copied it, then returned to monday.com to paste it into the invoice item. This added unnecessary steps, slowed down invoicing and increased the risk of missing or incorrect links. We built a Make.com automation triggered when an invoice is created in monday.com. The system captures the invoice details, sends the relevant data to GoCardless, generates a custom payment link based on that invoice, and automatically inserts the link into a link column on the same monday item. Now the full invoicing and payment link process runs automatically. Invoices are created and ready to send with the correct payment link attached, saving time and removing manual work from the workflow.

The Challenge

Each time an invoice was created in monday.com, the client had to stop the process, log into GoCardless, manually create a payment link, copy it, then paste it back into monday.com. This interrupted workflow, added unnecessary admin time and increased the risk of errors or missed links.

The Solution

Built a Make.com automation triggered when an invoice is produced in monday.com. The system captures the invoice data, sends it to GoCardless, generates a custom payment link, and automatically writes that link into a link column on the invoice item. The entire process runs in the background with no manual steps.
